The First time a penny in the U.S. was pressed with an image on it was in 1893. The impression on the penny was the Ten Commandments. If you would like to have a Ten Commandment penny email us and ask for one. We'll be glad to send it to you.
If you have clicked here because someone already gave you a Ten Commandment Penny, please read on:
The Ten Commandments can be found in Exodus 20
Most people say they believe in the Ten Commandments (even if they can't name them all!): Thou shalt not kill, steal, commit adultery, lie, etc. They also admit they have broken some of them, especially since Jesus said that if you even lust after a woman you’ve committed adultery or if you hate anyone you’ve committed murder. That’s what sin is, breaking God’s commandments. The greatest commandment is "You shall Love God with all our heart, soul, might, and strength," Mat. 22:37. Frankly, everyone has sinned and the wages of sin is death! That’s why God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world, to pay the penalty for sin and to restore our relationship with Him. We would like to send you a booklet on how you can you can have a relationship with God. Please email us at pastor@providencepeople.org for you booklet. Pastor Rogers
